Integral University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Integral University is a University Grants Commission (UGC) approved higher educational institution. A university of academic excellence, it is situated in the capital city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. This minority university was started by the state government for the upheaval of minority students. Being a comparatively younger entrée, Integral University has climbed the ladder of growth and success in a short span of time. With excellent infrastructural facilities and notable academicians in hand, the University is gradually gaining recognition throughout the state and India.

Educational Streams

Integral University comprises of eight faculties, eighteen departments and two polytechnics, one each located at Lucknow and Shahjahanpur. It offers a wide spectrum of courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, doctorate and diploma levels. The fields covered include Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Medical, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, and Education. The courses being offered by the University are duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Facilities

The University is placed in the environment friendly locale and constitutes separate hostels for boys and girls, hospital, library, placement cell, etc. the library is controlled by Library Management Software and has a huge collection of handbooks, standard manuals, encyclopedia, technical reports, project reports, along with prescribed text and reference books. In addition, the library also comprises of e-books and various other resources of e-learning. The hostels are well versed and have all requisite facilities for the convenience of the students. Various medical camps are organized and medical check-ups are conducted to ensure the health and fitness of the students.

History

The foundation stone of Integral University was laid way back in the year 1993 when the educational society, namely, Islamic Council for Productive Education started Techno Academic Schools with just six students. In 1997, the University received the approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Gradually, it introduced technical education with two disciplines (Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering). Finally in 2004, the state government of Uttar Pradesh announced the establishment of Integral University and in the same year, the assembly passed an Act to transform the institute into a full-fledged university.
