Description:

School of Forensic Science was set up in 2005 under the able flagship of SHIAT Allahabad. The school provides comprehensive facilities for training, teaching, and research in forensic science under one roof. To meet the ground level teaching and training requirement in the field of Criminal Justice, the institute offers referral facilities in terms of well equipped laboratories and ample research activities. School of Forensic Science imparts undergraduate, post graduate, diploma, and doctoral programmes in Forensic Science, recognized and supported by the Directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Upon completion, the students can achieve a strong theoretical, practical, and experimental foundation to gain mere confidence of handling the assignments related to forensic science.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with science subjects Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Statistics, & Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, & Biology (PCMB) or Physics, Statistics, & Mathematics (PSM) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, & Statistics (PCMS) with at least 50% marks (for general candidates) or 45% marks (for SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply for B Sc courses offered here.

Diploma:
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or Intermediate in any discipline are eligible to apply for the diploma programmes offered here.

Post Graduate:
Candidates who have completed B Sc with Chemistry as one of the subjects or B Sc in Forensic Science with minimum 55% marks (for general candidates) or 50% marks (for SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply for M Sc in Forensic Science.
Doctorate:
Candidates who have completed masters in relevant subjects with minimum 55% marks are eligible for the doctoral programmes.
