Admission Procedure and Eligibility:
Undergraduate:Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with science subjects Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, & Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, & Biology (PCMB) or Inter Agriculture with minimum 50% marks (for general candidates) or 45% marks (for SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply for B Sc (Hons) in Biotechnology / B Tech in various branches offered here. Post Graduate: M Sc: Students are required to complete B Sc in Agriculture of four years duration or B Sc in Biology or B Sc in Microbiology or B Sc in Home Science or related field with at least 55% marks to be eligible for M Sc in Bioinformatics / Biochemistry (Plant / Animal Biochemistry) programmes offered here. Similarly, students with B Sc in Agriculture / Biology / Microbiology / Home Science / M L T / Biotechnology or MBBS or B Tech in Biotechnology or related field can apply for M Sc in Biotechnology (Plant Biotechnology / Animal Biotechnology) / Microbiology programmes offered here. M Tech: Graduates with B Tech in Biotechnology / B Pharma / M. Sc Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Botany / Zoology / Forensic Science / Organic Chemistry / MBBS are eligible to apply for M Tech programmes in various branches offered here. Doctorate: M Phil: Students with M Sc in Biochemistry / Life Science subjects are eligible for M Phil (Master of Philosophy) in Biochemistry. PhD: Candidates who have completed their masters in regular subjects with minimum 55% marks are eligible for the doctoral programmes. Integrate: Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent exam with science subjects Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, & Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, & Biology (PCMB) or Inter Agriculture can apply for all integrated programmes offered here.
