The department of History and Culture at Gautam Buddha University is one of the very few schools in the country for providing teachings in social and cultural history of ancient India. The school offers full-fledged post graduate and doctoral programmes, approved by University Grants Commission (UGC), with advanced infrastructure, detailed curriculum, and resourceful exchange programmes. These programmes include MA (History), M Phil (History) and diploma programme in Gandhian Studies. School of History and Culture also conducts qualitative researches in Ancient / Medieval / Modern Indian History.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility:

Diploma:
Graduates in the relevant discipline are eligible to apply for the diploma course offered here.

Post Graduate:
Graduates from a recognized University in relevant discipline are eligible to apply for the MA course.
Doctorate:
Students with Master’s degree in relevant subject with at least 55% marks can apply for the M Phil programme.
