Erstwhile known as Northern India Engineering College (NIEC), Babu Banarasi Das Northern India Institute of Technology (BBDNIIT) is a well-known higher education institution of Uttar Pradesh, established in the year 1999 under the aegis of Governing Society Babu Banarasi Das Northern India Institute of Technology, (formerly Smt Vidyawati Devi Babu Ramji Lal Educational Society). The institute boasts of picturesque campus, spread over sprawling land in the midst of serene and pleasant environment of Lucknow and has splendid infrastructure, equipped with all modern facilities. BBDNIIT is affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), Lucknow, and duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility:
Undergraduate:B Tech: Candidates who have passed 10+2 or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board / College in science stream with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the optional subjects (Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science) are eligible to apply. However, they have to appear in UPSEE, conducted by GBTU, Lucknow. B Pharm: Candidates having passed 10+2 or any other equivalent examination in science stream (PCM / PCB) from a recognized Board / College are eligible to apply. B Ed: Any graduate from a recognized University / College can apply. However, they have to fulfill minimum eligibility criteria of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Post Graduate: M Tech: Candidates must complete B Tech course in relevant stream of engineering from a recognized University / College to be eligible to apply. M Pharm: Aspirants must pass B Pharm examination with minimum eligibility marks as prescribed by the institute from a recognized University / College. MBA: Graduates in any stream with minimum eligibility marks as prescribed by the institute from a recognized University / College are eligible to apply. However, they have to appear in GBTU-UPSEE / CAT / MAT.
