Mohammad Ali Jauhar University

As a minority University in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh, Mohammad Ali Jauhar University was started in the year 2006. Situated on the bank of River Koshi, the University was started with the sincere efforts of the then Chief Minister of UP, Mulayam Singh Yadav to educate the minority students belonging to the Muslim Society. To bring out skilled and active scholars capable of leading the society in terms of knowledge and thought, it was established amidst non-Muslim society by an act. The University intends to groom the new generation of youth through qualitative undergraduate courses in the disciplines of Arts, Education, Social Work, Management, Law, Nursing, Architecture & Planning and Engineering & Technology.

Yet to be recognized as one of the minority universities in Uttar Pradesh, this newly formed University aims at producing scholars of outstanding caliber. It conducts several undergraduate degrees through eight different schools, namely, School of Architecture and Planning, School of Arts, School of Education, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Law, School of Management, School of Nursing and School of Social Work. The schools are bestowed with a good number of skillful and highly qualified faculty members within a warm and resourceful learning atmosphere.

Located amidst the beautiful lush green and sprawling land, the University forms a tranquil atmosphere within inviting and soothing boundaries. It facilitates latest educational infrastructure for better studying. It also presents several extra-curricular activities and encourages students to participate and perform in social recreational activities. Besides, the University provides opportunities for different physical activities by giving special emphasis on the development of sporting facilities.
