Established as a private university in 2006, Mangalayatan University aims to provide the best of new skills and technology to nurture the interests of aspiring professionals in various streams. The word Mangalayatan is an amalgamation of two Sanskrit words, Mangal and Ayatan, symbolizing home (place) that offers contentment and positive vibrations. The University presents world-class pedagogy based on the current scenario of the global educational world. Considering the importance of surroundings in education, the University boasts of a sprawling campus spread across luxuriant land on Mathura-Aligarh Highway, in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Mangalayatan University houses a number of constituent institutes to enable students fulfill their dreams of pursuing higher education.
Educational Streams
The academic curriculum of the University is of high standard and offers excellent opportunities to the students to enhance their theoretical knowledge and communication skills. Currently, Mangalayatan University has a pool of nine constituent colleges offering education in the fields of Business Management, Education, Biotechnology, Computer Applications, Engineering & Technology, Journalism & Mass Communication, Legal Studies, Tourism & Hospitality Management, and Visual & Performing Arts. With its outstanding academic block and education friendly ambience, the University makes for a suitable platform to impart quality education. Most importantly, the faculty members of the University have vast experience in imparting education in their concerned fields, at higher level.
Facilities
The modern campus and infrastructural facilities of Mangalayatan University make it an ideal place to learn. Modern equipments and Wi-Fi connectivity offered by the University enable students to obtain the required knowledge in a fraction of time. The central library houses over 25,000 books and subscriptions, along with about 100 journals and periodicals, various national & business dailies, and news & business magazines. Students coming from other cities and states are provided with fully furnished hostel facility in the premises of the University. Also, the University has a well-equipped computer centre, auditorium, and seminar hall. Sports & recreation centre, student clubs, transport, training & placement, and cultural activities are other facilities offered by the University.
History
The University came into inception in the year 2006 under the Mangalaytan University, Uttar Pradesh Act. The Government of Uttar Pradesh issued the state wide notification about the inception of the University as Act No. 32 of 2006 by its Gazette No. 362/VII-V-1-1(Ka)-12/2006 dated October 30, 2006, with the right to confer degrees under section (2f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act. The University intends to equip students with high quality education to establish their identity in today’s fast changing world.
