Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University wasintiated with the aim of providing higher and professional studies to physically disabled students who are not able to get familiar with the normal conditions. It is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been accredited by NAAC with a ‘B’ grade for its infrastructural facilities and academics. Located amidst serene and pristine surroundings, it renders quality education to handicapped students so as to give them a feel of salubrious ambience. Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University is spread across luxurious green land on the outskirts of Chitrakoot district in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is committed towards enlightening the life of disabled people and giving them a social identity. The University renders high standard academics through a team of well experienced teaching staff.
Educational Streams
The University offers distinguished degree and diploma programmes at undergraduate and post graduate levels in various streams, such as Archaeology, Computer & Information Sciences, Commerce & Management, Drawing & Painting, Economics, Fine Arts, Hindi, History, Music, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Special Education, and Vocational Education. The programmes being offered by the University are exclusively designed for disabled students so that they can easily learn effectively.
Facilities
The University boasts of a disabled-friendly campus comprising of world-class facilities as per the needs of physically disabled persons. It has separate hostels for boys and girls and is equipped with modern facilities, such as hi-tech class rooms, well maintained computer lab, library, and gymnasium. The hostels are well furnished and made with the concept of giving the feel of a home away from home to the students.
History
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University came into inception in the year 2001 under the Act No. 32 of 2001 of Government of Uttar Pradesh and is recognized under section 2 (f) and 12 (b) of UGC Act 1956.
