Universities in UP

There are more than 2 dozen universities in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Majority of the universities are government owned but a few private universities have also come up in recent years. The courses and educational programmes at these universities include almost all disciplines of education. Apart from departments and faculties, there are a number of individual colleges affiliated to various universities across the state.
